Slovakia's Naming is a touchy subject from a Foreign point of view, so they probably included both names to settle any arguments over it.

Yeah, did anyone from Anet pipe in with an answer to this?

The €8.99 doesn't equate to US$9.99. According to todays currency rates US$9.99 equates to €7.80. And last I checked the euro was a more stable currency than the US dollar...

This "injustice" should be fixed. Europeans now must pay US$11.50 for a slot.

Gaile? Alex? Anyone at Anet want to answer this?

Bought 3 extra slots this morning; I am based in England. Connected first time, was able to make a PlayNC account during the purchase process (which took under 2 mins), and the slots were right there on my account when I logged in approximately .25 seconds after buying them (yes I was excited).

On the positive side, I love this option, and I'm getting lots of enjoyment out of having one of each class with room for my PvP guy. This will definitely boost my weekly GW playing time considerably for the next month or so.

On a more negative, but quite picky side- I had to use my partner's CC because I only have a debit card, which works for every other online transaction I've ever made, but isn't allowed on the GW Store. I thought "Visa", "Amex" or "Mastercard" was a pretty small selection of cards compared to other online stores and we were just lucky to have one in the house. A quick survey of all my friends- no one has American Express here. Maestro would be nice

Also, when I log in my characters are all in one big horizontal line and I have to scroll it quite awkwardly each way to find them- if I'd bought 26 characters I'd never be able to see them! It would be nice if they could be organised as a grid or something, so that you can still see all your characters at one time. Maybe that could be added to the options such as "Aphabetise" and "Pve/PvP". Those options help me a lot in finding my characters, but I would really prefer if their faces were all visible at once.

Thanks very much Anet for the new toys- enjoying them a lot.

Default Grrrrrrrr

I'm PISSED at the slot deal!

My g/f let me use her card to get a slot for myself, then get one for her. We ran into the "Invalid Experation Date and or CVV code". We tried several times to get it to work, to see if we did something wrong, and NOW she has 9 slots pending and we only wanted 2!

This screwed up her account at the bank, we STILL don't have the slots and it seems noone will try to help us at NCSoft/ANet with this issue...

THANKS ANet/NCSoft!!

People, I have some experience with e-commerce. My company was having the same problem. We taking the money and an authorized hold, if that is what is hapopening with the cvv issue, most holds are released with in 5 buisiness days.

I do find it disturbing that there is not any way to contact A-net except by e-mial.

Remeber most transactions can be disputed by your card holder bank.

The first time I tried - I did get an invalid CCV number, put it in again - and it went through. Just checked my CC - only got charged once.

Kahlindra,

I only have a debit card too, a Visa Electron from the Halifax, and it worked just fine. If by any chance you have a Visa Electron card too then just select 'Visa' in the shop and enter the numbers and your info as per normal.

Thanks Azagoth- that's the same card as my bf has and we ended up using that for both our purchases.... then I ran down to his bank with a cheque for my half! It was more a suggestion to Anet to increase the number of options, as much of their playerbase is young enough to avoid having been sucked into the credit trap yet. I'm glad you've finally managed to get your slots....

As for the failed transactions going through- one of my guildies now has 12 slots which she's pretty sure she didn't ask for (although she must have, through over-zealous clicking and Errs), but she sure as hell has been charged for. Don't rage-click when it's making errors, people.

Oh btw.....I did, after much searching, find a number where you can call and get most things straigtened out.
They have rather strange hours....1 pm to 9 pm Central Standard Time...Monday thru Friday......confirmed I was not being charged nine times but they still cant tell me how to buy a slot....insisting it is an error on my end with my CVV.....It is NOT and they would do well to admit it.....my bank says my information is correct as I have it.....but I really didnt need to be told this.....I have used this card at least a thousand times in the last three years....and had to enter both CVV and exp date over and over....strange how I never had any difficulty until dealing with the PlayNcSoft store....oh well its going to be their loss if they dont find the bug and fix it.
The number is 1-512-225-6359

I have problems with using my credit card, which is probably a good thing, if I could use my card, I might have just bought all 26 at once, as it stands 23 more to go. Since I have to use my debit card, I'm a little more careful with my spending.

When I first made my purchase attempt I used my card, after 3 different tries I used my debit card. So I Checked my CC and noticed that it was 29.97 short, the cost of 3 slots, a few days later the hold was gone. It seems to me that if the number is right; the request for the charge goes through, but if the cvv numer doesn't clear the charge does not, but the request is not being atomatically withdrwan.
